A young Onisaburo was groping for the Divine.
One night he prayed to his tutelary deity at Obata Shrine for any tips on the Way of the Kami. He prayed night after night, and on the 21st night,
he received a divine
revelation.
This is what we call the Three Verities (See below).

It is written in difficult terms, but the gist is as follows:
"You don't always need books or academic knowledge to learn the basics of the Kami. Still your mind and observe what heaven and earth and nature reveal, and you will know the truth."
